Beauty

Hey guys!!

SOOOOOOOOOOO……it’s been a minute! I’ve been extremely MIA. My Husband and I have been working on renovating our home while working 6 days a week at our day jobs. We’ve recently had an opportunity given to us to partner with a local restaurant and I’ve been trying to build my beauty business.

Needless to say we’ve been busy and stressed! Anyways I wanted to get on here and give you guys an update. I also wanted to talk about a branch of my beauty business that I am super passionate about and feel like more people need to hear about.

So here goes it!

Some of you may have seen posting about a company called Beauty Counter. I thought I would take a moment and let everyone know why I decided I was going to become part of this amazing opportunity I was given. I wanted to tell you my why.

I am a licensed Esthetician and I am very enthusiastic about skin care and makeup. I also know that many of the products that we use daily are harmful to our skin, and healthy. We literally use chemicals every day. I have always been a little on the “hippie” side. I’ve been on a search for many years to find a company that I can stand behind and support their products and what they have to offer. I have found that with Beautycounter.

Europe has banned nearly 1,400 ingredients used in beauty products, men’s products, baby products, and personal care products. The U.S. has only banned 11! That’s right 11. I knew that Europe had a very strict code that they followed for their personal care industry but I had NO idea that ours here in the U.S. was so lax! Many of these banned ingredients cause cancer, infertility, and many other serious health problems. It’s important to me for all of my friends and family to be aware of the harmful products that we use on a daily basis.

Recently my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. My family has no history of cancer, the doctors can’t say why she got this cancer. I asked the doctor if it could be something in her environment, he blew me off. Okay, if it’s not from a family history of cancer then what can it be? Our daily lives involve chemicals of all kinds. We expose our bodies to toxins daily and use products that contain carcinogens in them and things like formaldehyde. We have no second thought to look at the ingredients because if they are selling it in the store it must be safe right? To keep people confused they even change the name of some ingredients to keep consumers from knowing what harmful things are in them.

Beautycounter follows a very strict ingredient screening process and only use things that will cause no harm. If new information arouses that an ingredient they use might be harmful they pull that product and do extensive research to ensure that they can still sell a quality product without it doing harm to the customer and their family. They take the time to make every product perfect and keep every customer important.

So yes, I signed up with Beautycounter. Yes, it’s my job, it’s how I make money for my family, but it’s also something that I feel so passionate about that I want everyone to know about and I want all my friends and family to be healthy and safe! No one should every have to go through the pain of knowing a loved one has cancer. I also know that these things go a lot deeper then just beauty products, but we have to make changes in every aspect of our lives to ensure that we are alive and well for our loved ones.

If you have any questions or if this has lit a spark in your heart in any way message me and we can chat! I’d love to answer any and all questions. If you made it to the end of this post thank you for taking the time to read my why and understand my crazy obsession with Beautycounter.
