Beauty

Welcome to my life

I’ve been a beauty junkie from a very young age. When I was a little girl I would carry my little purse around and it always had some type of lip gloss and something to write on. The idea of blogging has been floating around in my head for a long time and I finally decided to jump in. Best way to get over your nerves is just to jump in feet first right? So here we go!

My first experience with makeup, I’m sure like many other girls, was with a gift set from estee lauder or clinique that my mother would give me to play with. I would oh and ah over the pretty shadows and lip gloss. Fascinated at all the possibilities that could come from it and how grown up my 10 year old self was. I experimented with makeup for many years and I had my fair share of blue eyeshadow fiascoes! I would look at people magazine and try and find a makeup look that I liked and try and recreate it. That was my start, hand me down gift sets, blue eyeshadow, and tabloid magazines as my “tutorial”.

Flash forward to today and I’m a certified makeup artist, licensed esthetician, and even more addicted to makeup! The beauty industry as a whole is fascinating and gives people so many possibilities to express their creativity. The industry itself has grown so much and has given so many girls great idols to look up to. When you submerge yourself in the beauty industry you see that it’s not just making people look good on the outside but it’s helping people to feel good on the inside too!  You are a counselor, a friend, a listener. Someone people tell you their biggest struggles or their happiest moments. It’s a great thing to see someone leave your chair with a smile on their face, knowing that you helped just a little bit to maybe brighten their day.

My goal for this blog is to be able to post all things beauty related.

  • Makeup looks
  • Product reviews
  • Skin Care

Hoping that along the way maybe I can help someone find their own beautiful life, not just on the outside but on the inside as well.

Gordon B Hinckley said, “life is to be enjoyed, not just endured” I want all women of every age and every walk of life to enjoy the life they have and make the most of every moment. We are all beautiful in our own way, life is just a journey to find our definition of beautiful.

    1. Thanks girl! My goal is to be here a couple times a week! I was self taught also until I got certified last year. My certification class helped me to fine tune some things I needed help with but honestly the biggest help is practice practice practice! Plus keeping up on all the latest trends. I still look at all the tabloids to see what’s “in” 😊
